Marketing Executive

When you go shopping, are you looking for a well known brand or product – Apple, Samsung, Mercedes, Innocent Smoothies, Kit-Kat? Marketing executives promote a company’s brand, products or services so that people know about what they offer, have confidence in the products and are persuaded to buy from or invest in the company. They have done a good job if the brand or product they are promoting is one that you automatically think of. Marketing executives may need to do research on customer and market trends, identify potential customers, and design and plan marketing campaigns to target them. They will write copy for online and media promotions; attend events, meet clients and sponsors, and the media; manage websites and social media; monitor budgets and the impact of the campaign. They are key to selling your product or service. Marketing executives need good communication and digital skills – English and IT are good qualifications for this role and you will probably need to work towards a HND or degree. Marketing executives can earn from £18,000 to £35,000 per year.
