About Racheal...

Who am I?

"I think the personality match with my profiles because it highlights all the current things I cover during my current role. I need to be organised, a good communicator, I need to constantly deliver to a high standard, and this is achieved by myself and team pulling together. "

What do I do?

"I manage 70 staff and the running of up to 8 production lines to complete Weekly/Daily Production plans.I enjoy the fast moving pace, the way you have to think outside the box on an everchanging schedule. The starting salary for my role is around £25,000."

How did I get here?

"I started as a packer on a production line on night shift, gained experience working in different factories within that role. I was keen to take on other responsibilities and projects that were offered. I learnt to drive a forklift truck and also trained and became an operator on the packing assembly lines. which later led me to apply for and the role of a team leader, which meant I moved up to supervise the running of the packing lines and staff. I was in this role for 5 years.I was approached by my manager and asked if I would step up and cover the role of Group Leader (manager role). I took on the challenge at the start of our busiest period of the year and survived, I enjoyed the challenge and I went on to apply for the role permanently. I have now been a Group Leader for 7 years managing 80+ staff. Throughout my time progressing to my current role what has inspired me to progress is that at the time there was very few women if any in these roles. I was one of the first female group leaders."

The life I live

"In my spare time I like to spend time with my family/friends (3 children) and I like to take my dog Bailey on walks.I have also enjoy running."

My typical day

"I manage 80+ staff across 2 shifts (days/nights).I have a daily brief with my staff, I spend time on the computer, send and reply to emails, attend meetings, carry out checks and audits, organise any relevant training, problem solve any issues that may arise or are brought to me and I liaise with other departments and maintenance. "

My qualifications
