Most of the projects that I work on are very big and are done by a big team of 20-30 people working together and collaborating to get the final design, so being able to work well in a team and communicate your ideas is very important.A common misconception about my job is that engineers are usually men. In fact there are a lot of women engineers that excel in their career and enjoy their job a lot. As a structural engineer I can decide whether I want to work in an office or on a building site. I work most in an office but sometimes go to construction sites as well. There are almost even amount of men and women on construction sites and in office work.Being structural engineer is very rewarding career as I get to see the designs I create being built in real life.
