Who am I?
"I am a challenge-driven, eager Chemical Engineer. My bachelor was done at Universidade Federal da Bahia University (Brazil), later I did a Magister degree in Environmental Chemistry at Umeå universities (Sweden). "
What do I do?
"My job title is Technical Specialist – Food and Beverage, and I work in the Scientific Laboratory Services (SLS) department of Pall Corporation. "
How did I get here?
"Always a dedicated student, my academic history includes top-of-the-class grades and an extensive record of publications before even leaving undergraduate.My ambition towards an international career has driven me to pursue advanced studies in Sweden, where I studied one year abroad.Contrary to most academic-driven engineers, I also have significant experience in the commercial and industrial sectors.Now living in the UK, I am developing my Chemical Engineer career as a Technical Specialist for Food and Beverage Filter Solutions. "
The life I live
"My workday typically starts at 09:00 and finishes at 17:00. When work ends, I try keeping a healthy life by running, doing yoga and meditating (yes, in this order). To relax at night, I read, listen to Death Metal, watch series or Anime and play videogames. "
My typical day
"My daily tasks at work include travelling a lot to visit customer's site and provide technical solutions to them, writing reports, managing a laboratory and doing filterability studies, scale up/ scale down calculating and testing. The three biggest tasks I am expected to achieve within my role are:1.\tTo provide technical support for the use of Pall Food and Beverage separation technologies.2.\tTo develop expertise for my SLS people <3.3.\tDevelop and support customer processes, delivering innovation, efficiency and sustainability. "

"General Certificate in Distilling - IBD (UK); Hygiene and Food Quality Control - IFRS (Brazil); Advanced in Cider - IBD (UK). "
