What do I do?
"I look after compliance for the marine training , ensuring apprentice are on track meeting company expectations and values. I have to plan and coordinate training requirements across the marine sector of 21 ports around the UK."
How did I get here?
"I started at sea as a navigation cadet and work my way up to being a Ships Captain. I came ashore to have a family and restarted my career in Marine training role working my way back up to where I am today as a Group Manager. I look after 70 apprentices across a wide range of programs and all the marine training across 21 ports. "
The life I live
"In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family."
My typical day
"I don't think I have a typical day, one day I can be in front of a computer all day , the next I am travelling across the country to speak to apprentices in another region or at a conference. In and out of meetings, giving direction to my team with regards work load and projects."
