"I am patient and willing to investigate faults and use evidence to resolve problems rather than jumping to conclusions, so I think my Explorer helps a lot in my work. Also I feel I work well in both a team and alone, so perhaps there is a bit of Coordinator being used as well."

"My main role is to maintain the Typhoon Simulator which involves both preventative and reactive engineering tasks with fault diagnosis. This is on various integrated Software and Hardware Platforms. I love the fact it is quite a cool job not many people can say they work at the forefront of Military technology. I also love the fact my kids describe my job as ‘mum works on a massive typhoon video game’."

"I joined the RAF at 16 as I wanted to leave home and make a life for myself. I grew up in central Manchester and at the time there were jobs but not many career paths. The RAF gave me a platform to learn whilst being paid, I travelled the world and once I retired from the air force at 30 years old, I had a great grounding to move into a wide variety of careers."

"I play Rugby at County Level, I also have 3 children so we spend time walking the dog and having fun."
