She was inspired by a young female Quantity Surveyor who she met there, and later went back to do a Quantity Surveying degree. She was particularly keen to work in a non-traditional role for a woman. She enjoys working with her male colleagues in construction and the fact that she has been able to work in unusual places, like the Middle East and Russia."
