Computer games developer

How many hours do you spend playing computer games on the internet, on mobile phones, computers and game consoles? Computer games developers spend their time at work making these games! They're the ones who decide what the games should look like, who bring the characters and scenery to life and create the code to make the game work. They need strong communication skills so they can get their ideas across to others in their team. They also have to be persistant and determined as you may have to come up with lots and lots of ideas before one is accepted. To become a computer games developer, you should take subjects like computer games development, computer science or maths. You could also do an advanced apprenticeship in software development, or work your way up from a quality assurance tester if you've had lots of practise playing!
