About Celine...
Who am I?
"I am a graduate, working as a Project Coordinator.I am a coach, developer and quality controller, which I definitely agree with, as I aim to drive people to succeed by aiding them wherever I can. I also enjoy developing new ways to improve processes (an increasingly important part of my role) and I aim for quality, not quantity.Lastly, I am a diversity ambassador, and strive to ensure there are equal rights and opportunities in the workplace, and that it is a safe place for everyone!"
What do I do?
"I coordinate different projects, working with various different teams (internal and external) to deliver successful projects. There are so many aspects of the job that I love, including the social side (working alongside a great team) and the more analytical side (being challenged with different problems and finding a solution)."
How did I get here?
"When I finished university I started an 8 week internship, in which time I graduated with my BSc in Chemistry. Towards the end of my internship I was offered a 6 month contract, as my line manager wanted me to continue working on my current project, and the rest is history!"
The life I live
"I am a big fan of video games, and spend a lot of my time playing on my Nintendo Switch! I am also teaching myself to play the violin, although I think I'll need to get a professional to teach me soon. As well as this I make a lot of time for my family and friends, both after work and at the weekends. Finally, I attend the gym 3-4 times a week, go to parkrun every Saturday morning and go for a run whenever else I can, as I want to be able to run a marathon one day. Spending time on yourself is so important, as your mental and physical health are both interlinked, and very high in my list of priorities."
My typical day
"My day involves a lot of meetings (online and face-to-face) and emails, tracking project progress and speaking to third party companies about other project work. The main projects I work on are transformational, improving current processes creating processes to make life easier for other teams within the company."
My qualifications
"Secondary education - 13 GCSE A*-C. College - A-levels in Maths, Chemistry and Ancient History. Undergraduate degree - BSc in Chemistry 2:2."
