About Stacey...
Who am I?
"I'm friendly & supportive which makes me a great communicator, essential in my job. My Coach trait definitely is useful here. I'm logical & enjoy problem solving. Tax planning and preparation is basically finding rules, applying the most relevant and creating scenarios, so I use my Innovator a lot in these aspects of my work. The Trainer trait is about understanding and explaining ideas. It’s all really useful to my job. "
What do I do?
"I help clients understand their responsibilities and help them prepare & pay their various taxes. I help them to grow their businesses, develop & manage their business and sell their business. I enjoy solving clients’ problems and meeting various businesses. I am also a director of another company called Smart York Ltd."
How did I get here?
"No one in particular inspired me. I didn't go to university, but went straight to work after A-levels. This enabled me to become the youngest female partner in an accountancy practice (in our area at least) at the age of 27. I have a 10 year plan that involves selling my first business, developing my second business (to sell) and becoming a business consultant or Finance Director and training other people in business/finance. "
The life I live
"I love music and go to lots of gigs (well before I had a baby). I love cycling and keeping fit and healthy. "
My typical day
"As it's my business, it's 50% team management and business development and 50% client meetings."
My qualifications
"Secondary education (GCSE/O-Levels) Post secondary education (College, A-levels, NVQ3 or equivalent) Maths, Chemistry, Plant Biology, Mixed Biology and General studies. Professional Qual. (ACCA) I undertake constant professional training throughout the year, every year, to retain my qualification. "
