Who am I?
"I like to solve problems, so the inquisitive nature and understanding why things happen aspects of Explorer are very useful. I have to help others in the lab and understand what they need so Coach and campaigner respectively are beneficial for that part of my job. "
What do I do?
"In our labs, we test medicines such as inhalers. It’s really important to test these as it can put people’s lives at risk if they’re not working correctly! As a lab manager, I ensure my lab meets regulatory requirements and providing support to lab users to assist them with what they need to get their work done. I fix problems as they arise. To progress I could manage larger labs/projects. "
How did I get here?
"My pathway here included working at NHS (clinical chemistry) and Academic research (Diabetes & Obesity Drug Discovery Research Technician). "
The life I live
"In my spare time, I enjoy rock climbing and hiking as well as science communication."

"A typical day involves meetings, writing Standard of Procedure documents, developing new procedures and fixing problems as they arise."
