About Carolyn ...

Who am I?

"In her job, Carolyn needs to be able to see all sides of a challenge and to be empathic and friendly as she works with many different types of people and must try to see their points of view. This fits in with the ‘Coach’ and ‘Trainer’ types. She also needs to be persistent and strong in reaching a resolution for any issue, which suits the ‘Campaigner’ type."

What do I do?

"Carolyn manages relationships between IT suppliers and the Wesleyan business. She makes sure contracts are delivered and work is completed, in order to keep both parties happy. She can normally be found reviewing the landscape for any immediate challenges, talking to customers and suppliers about their challenges, finding ways to resolve problems and best of all, helping others to do their jobs well! Carolyn really enjoys working with the whole business, not just the technical areas and she loves feeling valued. Carolyn is excited to be working for a dynamic and friendly organisation with aims that she admires. She always wants to get up and go to work!"

How did I get here?

"Carolyn has a vocational qualification in Data Processing and also a recognised professional qualification in Project Management. Though she does not have a university degree, she wanted to test her IQ and she is even a member of Mensa! Carolyn’s starting salary at Wesleyan was £53,000. Before starting there, she previously worked in a similar role in a large company, where she was able to move around and try a variety of different roles before finding her favourite. Having now done a wide variety of roles, Carolyn wanted to ensure that she completes her career in the best possible and most enjoyable role that she could, working for the best company she could find."

The life I live

"In her spare time, Carolyn is a musician and, in the future, she would love be playing a lot more music and working as a volunteer for local charities, while also working part-time. Carolyn believes that her heritage (her father is Maltese, and her mother is Austrian) contributes greatly to who she is, and she is proud of what she has achieved."
