Pharmacist

When you're poorly and you need medicine, you will need to go and see a pharmacist to collect it. Pharmacists could be giving out medicines in local pharmacies or hospitals, giving healthcare advice about the medicines or doing checks for conditions like diabetes or blood pressure. As they deal with drugs for patients, they need to be thorough and have a high attention to detail as if not, it could make the patient even more ill. They usually have to work in customer facing roles, so it's important for them to be friendly, patient and be able to remain calm. In order to become a pharmacist, you need to complete a 4 year Master's degree in Pharmacy, followed by a year of training. Once qualified, pharmacists can earn from £28,050 - £43,041.
